any ideas for tracking an unregistered horses history?

I have a 20+ year appaloosa gelding that I purchased without papers about 8 years. All I DO know is he was picked up at an auction somewhere in NJ. The bill-of-sale... long lost... had his name as "Charles In Charge".

If anyone here is a member of the ApHC, they can do a name query - I went there and there is a Charles in Charge, but you have to be a member to login...sooooo any ApHC members out there?

I didn't renew my membership so I can't login. Sorry. I hope you find some information about your boy.
