I'm 5'2". I've ridden everything from an Icelandic that I doubt was 13h up to a draft that was pushing 18h. I've never felt uncomfortable due to the size of myself or the horse I was on.
My current boy is 14.3h, which works just fine for me.

I'm 5' 2" and pretty proportionate- very plain jane typical looking. My legs aren't unusually short compared to my body. They're just short because they are proportioned to the rest of my body I ride a 15.3hh QH or a 15hh Paint. My stallion is 14.3 and my Percheron in 16.3, and I will eventually be riding them on the regular too. Right now my trainer rides them so I don't have to worry about it. Cuts my work load in half!

I'm 5'2" with my boots on. I ride everything from my ponies to 18hh drafts! I'd say the only disadvantage I've found is that it's harder to stay on a bucking horse without the long, draping legs. Also it's more annoying to bridle obnoxious horses.

I am about 5' maybe 5'1 and I ride a little 14.3 Quarter horse/Arab. I am a little chunky, but I feel like we work well together.
I fit on my horse (Romeo) and my sisters 13.3 POA and the 15.2 QH

I love this thread lol I am 4'10 and ride a 16.3 belgian X paint. People ask me alot how I get on him and I say just like any normal rider, but if I am feeling lazy any particular day I lay him down to get on haha I love all horses but larger horses are def. My favorite!

I say I'm 5'3" on a good day, my gelding is 15.1h, so it works out okay. I rode a POA for a while and that was a blast. I enjoy the arabians too, so being shorter works for me.

I'm 5' (still growing thankfully haha) and I own a 15hh Paint Horse. I can mount him by myself unless I'm riding bareback (:

I think you'll look good together:) I'm 5'1" and slim. My quarter horse is around 15.1. The only problems I've had is with my stirrups and boots. I had to punch new holes in my stirrups to get them short enough. I recently bought winter boots which are great but they almost go around my knee so I have trouble bending my leg to get on! Oh...I forgot, I bought fancy winter riding pants which need to be hemmed and the patch thing which is supposed to be on the inside of the knees, is half way down my calves...lol. They need to make riding gear for short people!

I'm 4ft11. It's murder getting good boots because they're always too long in the calf or too narrow because I have normal size calves. All my height went into my chest and my backside.
