    Anyone here from Pekin, IL?

I'm trying to locate a couple of acquaintances. Sorry, can't remember their last names, but first names are Gail & Eldon. They used to raise/breed/show Morgan horses (may still but I've lost track of them). I think they called their farm, LynMor Morgans. They lived on a lovely farm that was in Pekin, and are/were lovely people. If I remember right he worked for Caterpillar (?) or John Deere (?) in the area, maybe as management or exec? Anyway, I'm wondering if they are still in the area and if they are, if they're ok? Sorry for the sketchy info, I haven't been in touch in over 10 years.

My brother and I went to school in Central Illinois and that area got knocked for a loop yesterday.

Around the 44 sec mark in this vid, I got goosebumps:

I hope your friends are okay.

This may be a longshot, but maybe not as I've found in the horse world! The couple who owns Sugarlane Morgan Farm downstate here in MI, may very well know them! My Morgans, Laney and Sugar were foaled there, and I believe they are still in operation, and a highly reputable breeder. They are Jon & Vicky Sweet, Clinton, MI (sorry, that's the only information on my AMHA register) Hope this helps! I found the # when I acquired Laney, and called. Vicki remembered Laney, (Sugarlane Madonna), and would be happy to know I own Sugar, her 1/2 sister, (Sugarlane Drum Majorette)..If I can, I'll try to get info on your friends through AMHA... Good luck!!! :)

When I heard that a big tornado touched down in the Peoria area, I got chills. I pray they are ok, and I'd love to hear it from someone who knows them. We met briefly several years ago and I've thought of them often. They are/were really nice folks and had some really nice horses.

Dreamcatcher- I found the Sweet's # and made a call last night, she got back to me and unfortunately had never heard of them. Since they've been breeding Morgans for so many years, I thought it'd be worth a try! I do hope you find them eventually, and all is well - prayers for all of those affected by that terrible storm....

Thank you so much for trying! It's a long shot, but since they've been on mind, I thought I'd give it a try.
