AQHA/APHA Lookup Please?

Im filling out my filly's registration papers and thought I had the sire's registration number on hand. *sigh* im not a APHA member yet so im unable to look up the registration number to the stallion. I've tried googling and cannot find his number anywhere!

So alas, I turn to HF for help...

Can anyone perhaps find the registration number for Mordecai Mick, 2004 Grulla Appendix QH stallion? He is listed with APHA for breeding (i listed him myself and owner has paperwork)

I believe APHA is using his AQHA registration number...So its going to start with an X. (due to being appendix)

OH YES, and if APHA lists the owner ID number, I need that too...

Thanks so much!

You can't directly look up any AQHA horses using APHA. They don't put pedigrees of listed horses in the searchable database. If they have progeny, you can pull it off of those records. I actually had to pull the registration number from my NCHA records account.

As far as the owner's portion, for APHA they should have released the breeder's certificate and you should be able to register the foal online with just the breeder control number.

I do have the certificate to register the foal, but nothing was filled out. Just a blank transfer/registration application. Last time I registered a foal, the application had the stallion information/owner information printed on it and all I had to do was fill in my information and the foals information.

I actually went through the paperwork that APHA sent the owner and grabbed what I needed and had her sign what I needed. (She is horribly out of date with all of this "technical" stuff so I did all the paperwork to get him listed and be able to register my foal.....Or I wasn't going to breed)

Thanks for the help CCH! Perhaps I will email her, get her ID/control number and just register Wrecker online?

And holy cow have registration prices increased. And they practically make you become a member. $100 to register as a non-member, or $50 to register after June 30, and $40 for a one year membership. So...Its $90 or $100!

Last time I registered a foal it had to of been $35? LoL

Do you know if the stallion owner filed a breeding report? Once the breeding is released, you should have been either mailed a breeder's certificate form that has the breeder control # straight from APHA, or if it wasn't released the stallion owner has it.

You shouldn't need the stallion owner's membership number unless you're filing a paper registration. I highly advise going the online route. It is much faster and your photos will turn out better.

The stallion owner did file a breeding report, I know because im the one that did it and sent it in. LoL. I just said "sign here" and filed the paperwork for her.

I mailed the stallion listing application, and the breeding report (with my mares breeding dates on it) and they then sent the owner a new breeding report (for future breedings) and 4 blank registration applications. Along with his "cover page" saying he's approved for breeding and a cute little pin. LoL.
