The arrival of Arcangel

I have received word that Arcangel has arrived at the stable, and after a good gallop in the round pen and about ten to twenty rolls in the dirt, he's adjusting well.

I did some snooping, and found this:

No pictures of him yet, I will get out there tomorrow and will try to get some pics. The email I got was pretty straight forward about no one handling him, petting him, or giving treats, so we'll see if Im able to get a picture or two.

Alright everyone, here are some pics! They aren't as good as the pics on the site Sara found, btw, thanks Sara! I tried to find something like that, but didn't look hard enough lol.

Arc was very excited when we got there. There were other horses out grazing freely, so I think he was more focused on them, then standing and posing for me. He is just BEAUTIFUL! I drooled for almost 45 mins before AND after my lesson. I am absolutely in love.

I was talking to my instructor, who is also the owner of the stable, she said that Arc's owner paid 150,000 for him. She initially went to look at another horse, and fell in love with Arc. Today, Arc is insured for a cooooool 500,000!

Of course I wanted to ride him! My instructor said that he might be a lil too much horse for me at this point.. lol then said 'maybe after a few more lessons.' OMG!!!! I would LOOOOOVE to ride him, just the way he moves is awesome, I was simply awe struck by him.

Anyway, the pics...

If you look at the braid in his hair, it starts at the top, and goes all the way down to the tips. They French braid his hair because it's so long, normally it reaches his knees.

Talk to the butt.. lol

Saying hello! While he was saying hello to this other gelding, he was REALLLLY snorting, and breathing heavy.

Just before I took this pic, Arc reared up, I was a lil upset I missed it.

Im thinking that this pic might be my next painting.

LOL I'm in Minnesota, so a ways away from NJ, which is too bad because next week is finals, I'd lend you my lil boy! Lol

Im not sure how long he's staying for, I will have to find that out. I assume awhile, because when I asked my instructor who she acquired him she simply said "one of my boarders owns him". Well I already knew that, I guess he's been in training in CA, then was in Las Vegas for a show.. So yea.. he gets around.
