    Back on Board!!

Hello all!! I have been gone for quite some time now..I'd say atleast a year if not more. But...something has happened..good not bad...that brings me back here. Recently, my hubby and I made an agreement. Since I have been needing to lose some weight..he made a deal with me that if I lost the whole amount (45pds) that he would buy me a horse,no questions asked. I was so happy I think I almost went through the ceiling!! If all goes well, and I lose the weight, I will be the proud owner of a horse next winter!!!! I am so excited!!! I just had to share!...and it is so good to be back on here again!!

Sensible hubby, he wins a big gold star.

So what's your plan, and how can we help you lose that pesky 45 pounds?

    :O How exciting!!

How are you planning to do this? Have you thought about what you want? Maybe you should get a picture of the horse of your dreams and stick it up in your room, on your fridge, or your running machine... help you achieve your goal

GoldenHorse- well, as for a plan,I have asked my hubby for a gym membership that is close by us, I would start walking/running..but it is cold outside and we have some stray dogs that run loose, and I don't feel safe, and I bring my dog with me..so I thought a gym membership would be a good idea. I know I need to stop all junk food, as I love chocolate, this will be difficult...lol...but mainly, I'm going to cut my portions in half, cut out junk/fast food and excercise my butt off and see if that does it. But any suggestions are most welcome! I need all the help I can get on this one! Thanks everyone!

Someone told me something I found very true- if you try and cut it all out, it'll work, then you'll crave it more. Have you thought about maybe just cutting the worst of it, putting some more greens in and also cutting the portions of that like you mentioned but that of the junkn food? Besides, rabbit food gets boring after a while xD

You could start up a member journal about your journey so we could all follow!

DaffyDuck- that's a great idea! Cause I'm not sure I could cut all junk food out! But maybe like you said, cut it way down.I think I could handle that. Also, what a great idea about starting a member journal! I don't know how many would follow, but it would be a good tool for me to track my progress. I'll be honest, I'm not much on salads to begin with, and it's going to be difficult for me to add more green veggies, cause most of them I do not like, but I will find a way..I have already found a picture of an arabian I am going to print out and put on my fridge and pantry. Great idea, thanks! I'm not starting this diet til Jan.1st,but am gearing up for it now.

I'll follow it for sure!! And then wait for pictures of your lovely horse, which by the time you get, you will be fit enough to ride!! I had 8 months off.. I ached for a good month when I got back in the saddle xD

Yeah, no point starting till after crimbo.. at all hahaha! Wouldn't want to spoil the christmas dinner!!! Fingers crossed for you!!

I would enjoy following your progress as well. I am in a similar situation, in that I have extra weight I need to lose. I just had a baby last month and gained an extra 35 pounds!! Didn't seem like it was that much at the time, but apparently it was. I was always told the 3rd kid is the toughest, guess it was right for me. I already have my horses so I am going to use them as a form of exercise, but I need to work on my diet and it would be interesting to me to follow someone else who is working at the same things!!

Thank you so much!! Can't wait for the day when I post that first pic of me and my new horsey!!! I've grown up with horses my whole life, and being without them is torture!... been off of them for a few years now, so I know I'm going to be sore when I first start riding again...but so can't wait til that first ride...again...
