    Barn Family Support

So I know I havent posted in a while but I realized today how much a barn family means. I have always been thankful for the lovely barn that I ride at, we all hang out together from the 6 -50 year olds. We celebrate birthdays, shows, etc together. We recently had two babies come into the family and this past week a death. Two of the girls' father died last weekend, a man who affected us all and supported his girls soooo much. It was SO surprising to find out since he had been a young (43), healthy, active, fun loving man who was taken way to early. Today was the funeral. My "family" once again came together. When walking out of the church we all just turned to each other in tears, hugging and wispering support to each other. Everyone one is in shock but I am so grateful for the family that I have made. I know that together we can support the two girls through this as well as each other through anything.
I just wanted to express my thanks to how much a common sport can bring people together. Everyone at my barn is very different and we all vary greatly in age but to see the love that everyone has for each other means so much. I have learned so much from this, most importantly, live life to the fullest, but also the importance of support.
