Talking Barn "Libraries"?

I wonder, do any of you have a “Library” at your boarding stable? I recently started one at my new barn and it’s enormous fun!
I never feel guilty about buying “One MORE” horse book, because I know when I’m done, it’ll have a home at our Little Library. The barn kids are so excited about it, too. Their faces just lit up when they heard what was going on.

Solves the problem of what to do with all the magazines I just can't stand to throw out, too.

I still love reading “Pony Books” and sharing them with everyone at the barn makes me feel just that much more at home here.

In our Office/Lounge area there were some shelves that weren't being used for anything but collecting dust. I brought in a few boxes of books that had been hanging around in my closet and attic, put them on the shelves, slapped a “Library” sign on the shelf and, there it was. Open for Business!

We also have a few horse movies, games and puzzles.

I’d be really interested in hearing about other barn’s “Libraries”.

We didn't have that at a barn I used to board at years ago...but I would've loved it! I'm an avid reader so would've had plenty of books and magazines to share. What a great idea!

I would love a horse library at a barn, I go through books very quickly so library's are great. Especially for reference books.

That would be so cool. (: I don't board anywhere but if I did I would definatley start something like this.
I would make sure to have a little "Check Out/In" List that people can sign just in case something goes missing..

Great Idea!

I always wanted to start a bit library. I have so many bits that I bought and for some reason or another didn't work out. If I had had a bit library where I could try before I buy, I would have loved it!.

Wow, a bit library is an excellent idea! They're expensive, and it'd be terrific to be able to try different styles out before ordering one.

The Little Libraries is something that is going on all over, but hadn't thought of horse one.

Brilliant idea.

Wish I had known of you sooner, had extras of about 10 horse books I just gave away.
