Black Friday- Shipshy

Ok, Indy, Amarea are you guys going? I still have not gotten called into Fed Ex for my seasonal position (Uh the season will be over soon LOL). Fed Ex ground does not work on Mondays (its a Tues. Through Sat. Job) and that only leaves them to call me Tues and Wed to set something up. SOOO, if I do not get a call, my friend said she wanted to go to Black Friday and I'd love to tag along (of course it means my two girls have to too). But if we all go we should meet up again. , maybe do breakfast or lunch.

Just leave the trailer behind LOL. I'll let you guys know if I am going. Not looking forward to the crowd but if my friend wants to go I guess I better keep track of her.

I always wanted to go to one of these auctions...I live in Jax, Florida though. I searched online but I couldn't find any auctions. Sorry not trying to jack the thread, I was just curious if anyone knew of any around here. Is it hard to watch some of the perfectly good horses get sold to kill buyers? I always wanted to buy a project pony and then sell it for more money than I bought it for. Which in the long run, would probably cost more than I would earn. I also fear I would get really attatched...

I personally haven't gone to an auction with the intentions of buying a project horse. If I were to buy a project horse, I would have bought the little black mare that was with my Appy Karma as Karma was super attached to her and she was really sweet. She sold to the kill buyer for $30.

Of course it's hard as hell watching these really great horses getting loaded onto a trailer bound for slaughter. Some of them are so young they didn't even get a chance. But sadly horses are just like cats and dogs. There aren't enough good homes for them.

Yeah I went with my friend to an auction. He got two horses out of the kill pen, but yes it suuuuuccckkeedd seeing the other's in the kill pen as well. I won't go to auctions anymore unless I'm there to buy a horse.
