Black Oil Sunflower Seeds

Do you feed them whole (shell and all) or should I continue to look for seeds that are already shelled?

I know this is probably a dumb question :)

Not dumb at all!

My horse eats them with hulls (shells) I think there's good stuff in the shell not just the kernel.

Yup just feed them whole, make sure it's the black oil ones and not the ones with the hard striped shell.

Thanks to you both. The 6lb bag I bought today are Black Oil Seeds, and the seeds are on the smaller side. I actually found them in the bird seed aisle of Tractor Supply.

I used to feed whole BOSS (with shells). Not anymore for quite a while though. BOSS is pure omega 6 that they already have quite enough.
