Branding

Do any of you brand your horses? If yes, are you happy you have done it? Any regrets?

It was just recently brought up to me recently. I am seriously considering getting both of my horses branded. With the help of JDI, I have been able to look up our local web page regarding all the rules about branding.

How did you find designing the brand was? How did you base your logo? Do you have any pictures of the branding?

How did you find someone to actually do the branding?

Yup, I even have my own iron, diamondKB. We did Chloe ourselves, all the others were already branded with their studs brand. I like hot branding, and I will always brand my horses, rekon it deters theives. And you can still microchip as well.

You have a picture by any chance of what your brand looks like? How did you decide how big to make it?

Well in Australia we don't have much choice. Mines just a standard 3 peice brand (3 letters or approved symbols) and it has to be a certain size I think its like 10 cms or something.
