Trouble is coming home tomorrow! I've started working full time and now live at my fathers, and I haven't seen him in over a month. I had an awful time finding someone to haul him home, and we're finally loading up tomorrow!

Be prepared for many many pictures!

He's home!! No pictures yet because I had to go back to work after loading him, (hay for being full of horse hair at work) but he loaded like a dream! It's only his third time on a trailer and he hopped right on! My father is putting him in the barn and unloading my stuff for me while I work. Can't wait to go home and give him a full grooming and a big hug.

A few days have now passed since Trouble came home....
So by being this quiet I hope all is good, settling in is occurring and "mom" is starting to relax, breathe and catch-up on the horse fix...
So all is good??? :-?

Getting internet hooked up at my house this week! Works wifi won't let me put up pictures :( I have plenty! Trouble is still not too too settled in unfortunately. We're having some trouble integrating him back into the herd. Our large gelding (mr fatty pants) has taken on a huge hate for him. He ran him through the fence once and will not leave him alone, chased him every day this week for twenty minutes or more. He even started guarding the water tank, so I said enough is enough and went at him the the crop. I gave it a week to settle down and it hasn't diminished a bit. The final straw came when Roman tore a chunk of meat off his tail. I thought he broke it, but the vet was called and pictures were sent and hell be fine with antiseptic spray.

So where we stand now- Trouble is in until I get home from work at three every day so i can supervise them in the pasture. He's on chill from omega alpha and I gave him a tube of regenereq plus to get him eating more. I don't like to keep him in his stall for that long but that's how it will be until we get this issue sorted out. Roman is going in the barn if it doesn't slow down.

However. My ctj moment with the crop has lessened the problem. When Trouble goes out he stays well away from him. Within the next week I hope to have him out at five am and in at night around nine.

He's eating and drinking good, otherwise healthy as a horse  pictures soon!

@WhattaTroublemaker we had the same issue with a gelding we had sent out for training. He was born here and lived here 3 yrs. Went off for 45 days training and the other gelding in the herd almost killed him when we brought him back. It is the male herd leader thing. Ours never really meshed well after Steve left and then came back. It was always a headache to deal with.

Glad he is home - and hope it settles soon

Sometimes appaloosas look very baroque to me. Like those couple of pictures with Trouble doing that BIG trot with his head tucked.

Yay for horses being home! Hope Trouble heals quick. He needs to tell that bully where to go!

appys were war horses ;)

My going over with the crop has seemed to help romans hierarchy problem, he's keeping his distance from Trouble. The pony has seemed to take a liking to him, and plays with him a lot, they do a lot of mock posturing and stuff and eat together. He's a bit slim right now, for my taste, but he's getting there.

I haven't done any work with him yet because I want to settle in, but I'm quite disappointed due to the fact that he came home quite head shy and a very nervous horse now. He has a few problems I need to sort out due to him being handled improperly at his other place. I didn't see him for a month and he's a completely different animal.

I can't wait until it's warm enough to bathe him! He'll be all sparkly for a little bit!
