    Brought new horse home!

Hi guys! I brought my new horse home yesterday! Yay!! :)

So my question is, how much time should I give her to settle in before riding her, if any? She's adjusted really well already, is very calm, not nervous. She's getting along very well with the horse she's sharing her paddock with. I guess I don't know if you normally give them a few days to adjust, or if they're doing really well if it's ok to ride them right away. This is my first time bringing a horse to a different barn. When I bought my last horse he stayed at the barn he was already at.

And because I'm a proud new mama, here's a picture of Razz!

Congrats on the new pony! She looks gorgeous.
I gave my girl about a week before I rode her but she is a finished western pleasure / reiner that was shown all over so used to being at different places at different times lol

Nice looking girl. I like to give a day or two to settle in but have ridden on the day I've moved if the horse was delivered early enough in the day and there was nothing else demanding my time.

    She's fab!

Every horse is different, some you can hop on right away and some need time to settle in. See how she is settling in and go from there, you'll know when you are both ready :)

Thank you guys :) I didn't ride her today, but I hand walked her all over the property where I plan on riding her the most, she was totally relaxed! I think I'm going to ride her tomorrow, she seems to have settled in completely already!
