Bye Charlie... :'(

So long story short, Charlie 'technically' wasnt mine. His owner had just abandoned him with me back in august and hadnt spoken to me since..so I classed him as my own. I worked with him the whole time, stopped his bucking problem. Taught him to jump. Taught him ground manners..everything...turned him into an amazing horse...his owner hadnt spoken to me since august when she asked me to start looking afer him, until today..she said she's taking him away from me because she's got someone to do polo with him...that was all she said. No "thank you", nothing. :'( im going to miss him so much.... :'(

I highly doubt she will...shes not that sort of person. I feel pretty used to be honest, she abandoned her horse with me. I done loads of work with him for free and now all the hard work is done she's taking him back so she's got her perfect horse..after I got thrown off multiple times & got hurt. Went up there every day in the snow & rain etc.

I don't think that's wrong... I KNOW that's wrong!! You should think about putting a lien against her horse.. although I don't know how the laws work over the pond but if I were you I'd get the law involved. She abandoned him so technically she has no right to take him back as far as I'm concerned.

Did the 19 pounds include hay? When you say feed do you just mean supplimental?
The reason some people board is because they can't be there to care for their horse themselves. If she was paying for the horse, she did not abandon it.
Did you have her permission to ride, train, and shoe this horse?
If I had to be away for an extended period of time and someone had been riding or Anything without my permission, I would be quite upset.
Even if she is just a fair weather horse owner who just didn't feel like going to see her horse for a few months, as long as she is paying her board she has done nothing wrong.
If you were messing with this horse without permission, that is your bad.
If you did have permission, then it was your choice to spend extra money on it. You were lucky to have a free horse to ride for a while.

Sorry to double post.
If she had asked you to train and work her horse, then you should have worked out some sort of contract for yourself to be paid.
