Can anyone help? Missing horse.

Over the summer me and a friend went to work on a ranch near Austin, Texas. The lady who owned the ranch had several rescue horses, and gave one to my friend as payment. When we returned to continue school and work, and contacted the lady about getting her horse, she stopped talking. Not answering phone calls, emails, and he website has been shut down. We are so worried about her baby and are looking for any information on him and how he is and if he's been sold.

His registered name is IB Mpressive Zippo, he's a sorrel gelding with a white face, two blue eyes and a flaxen mane and tail. He was extremely skinny and malnurished when we first got to him and had just grown his hair back. (He was rescued from a fire). When last seen in August, he was still gaining weight and still looked pretty rough. He's such a sweet puppy dog of a horse and we just want to know he's ok.

If any of you have ever lost or had a horse stolen or gone missing you know how we feel. Please contact me with any info. Support is more than welcome.

Welcome to the forum!

Do you have any paperwork such as a bill of sale or the registration papers? Have you tried tracking through APHA? It is probably a long shot but maybe worth a try. With the lack of response you are getting from the ranch, it certainly doesn't sound promising.

Without any documentation, it is going to be impossible to claim ownership and the fact that their website is down is not a good sign. You might try to contact the sheriff's office or animal control in the town/county to see if there is a problem out there. They may have been shut down for some reason and some authority would know.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

We can list the horse in our searching section at Stolen Horse International. You will then have a place on the internet with pictures, information and a link that you can give to people to view the information. Just go to www.netpose.com and fill out a report so we can help you. And, I do know how you feel. My horse Idaho was stolen and is the reason this nonprofit organization is here today to help people in missing horse situations. We did find her 51 weeks later and our IDAHO ALERTS are named after Idaho.

We were in the process of transfering him into her name. So is papers will read that he belongs to Christina Beaver. While it would be horrible if he had been sold, I just want to know at LEAST that he's ok, and buy him back if that's what it takes. Anything to know he's alright.
