    I had a gelding try to mount the mare I was riding. Last time I ever rode in an open field with loose horses (I was 14 and didn't know any better at the time). And yes, I was LITERALLY on her back when he tried to mount her. Little hussy stood still for it, too! Needless to say, Tar (the gelding) got a sound whack on the neck from the crop I was carrying.

    A girl horse has longer eyelashes. It's true for all species, even cartoon characters, they all have longer eyelashes. Horses with shoes leave different prints, says Nike on the bottom, barefoot ones show a frog, not like Kermit though, less green.
