check out my new horse

I wanted to introduce everyone to my new horse, Mystair(I know wierd name) she is a 10yr.old Trekehner Arab warmblood.she is about 16hh.Although she is just a pasture mate (possible ringbone).I really dont want any critique on her.I know she needs weight on her, but I felt I had to save her from the auction. She is happy jsut being out in pasture, but I will have the vet out to take a look at her.

She is very pretty! I cant really critique her though just because shes not on flat ground, and she is somewhat facing away from the camera. But, I love her name!! hah

I would get an xray of her ringbone. My guy has it and still does light work with no problems. She could be a good little trail horse at least.

Good luck with him, Nancy. As for the ringbone, I had a nice horse that went lame about 2 weeks after I got him. The vet took a radiograph of his hoof (with his shoe on if you can believe it) and declared ringbone. I had him in bar shoes for a while and he seemed to get better so I tired him in regular shoes and he was fine. One year after I got him and he was diagnosed, an abscess (and nail) burst out through his coronary band. No ringbone - just an abscess.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.
