AHHH! I just spent 15 minutes typing out a thread...only to have it DELETED! Bah, I'll have to write it again..
Anyways...a few of you might remember the thread I posted a week or so ago considering buying a palomino filly that was for sale. Well...I ended up getting her! Against all better judgement, I paid the $800 for this 3YO unbroke horse. But I am glad I got her.
She's a registered AQHA named NLD Hancock Bar, she's 3 (as I said above), and is currently about 14 hands. She's not broke (again, as I said above) and has had very little handling so is accordingly skittish. Given the circumstances, though, she's really not too bad and I think she'll be a nice, quiet horse when she settles down and gets some training.
She is a NICE looking horse, and her movement is just spectacular. She's easily the most quality horse we've ever owned (not that that's saying much - we have a history limited to grade, mostly crossbreeds).
She is going to be the first horse I break by myself (previously, I was always under my trainer's supervision). My trainer will be there if and when I run into trouble or am not sure of something along the way, but I'm hoping to do most of her training myself. It's nice to know I have someone there I can turn to for experienced, professional help.
Before we get to the pictures, I also need a name for her. Her 'barn name' from where I got her was Cher, but that is a name I absolutely cannot live with
My best friend likes the name Nala, and I kind of liked Fay, but neither seems to really suit her. Any barn name suggestions?
And without further ado, here she is!
