Christmas Glamour for Horses

I want to get my mare all decked out for Christmas (Yes, I am a huge dork, but I love that kinda thing.). So far I've come up with several ideas: red nylon halter/bridle and breastplate, red mane/tail glitter gel, red or green glitter hoof polish (making my own), a "mane dangle" out of red and green beads, and I'm hoping to find a Christmas saddle pad. The only one I've found is a custom order and they're about $55. I'd like to find one a bit cheaper since it's only useful for a few weeks.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Does anyone know where I can buy a Christmas saddle pad?

Is anyone else as cheesy about these things as I am?

I swear I can already hear my husband's eyes rolling.....

You can;
Use a Christmas tree skirt,between your saddle pad & the saddle,they are pretty reasonable.
Use baby oil or a gel( like hair gel)on your finger,or a Q-tip,to put the outline(your choice),then sprinkle regular glitter on the outline,it looks good & brushes out & off.No need to bath your horse
Hang Christmas ornaments from your breastcollar(make sure they are not the glass ones that break)

Great ideas! I didn't think about a tree skirt - that's excellent.

I forgot to tell you to, let the skirt bowl down over his/her rump so it shows the most....If it will not stay where you put it,catch the very back & down from the saddle(So there is NO pressure on it)of your pad & the spot that keeps it(the skirt) where you want it,with a safety pin.And I mean just the top layer of your pad ! ! ! !
You might want to practice with the gel,marking hair is not the same as using paper. And the glitter will stick to your design....
Good luck ! ! !

Husband's response - "The neighbors are going to think you've lost your mind, I already know that you have!" LOL

I love the tree skirt idea,too!
Maybe a garland necklace? Or buy a cheap saddle pad/blanket and sew/glue on a garland or somthing? And glitter? LOTS of glitter! Lol!
EDIT
Oh! And maybe put a garland on a halter or birdle or browband somehow! IF he'll tolerate a fuzzy thing on his face........ :) Good Luck! :)
