Cinny Moved today.....

Cinny was trailered to his new stable today. He did very well, and hopped right into the trailer, so proud of him. On my way to the new stable I had to stop and grab a quick sandwich from home because my sugar felt like it took a plumet, and I thought I had time. I got there to find Cinny in the cross ties with some teens around him and one adult on once side with a measuring stick and someone on the other side with a weight tape...And Cinny just stood there loving every second of the attention.

My new trainer then led him into the arena and did some stuff with him, and of course he showed his angelic side...yay for him. The 4H group now adores him as does my new trainer... He made a very LOVELY first impression at his new home and I'm sure he will become of favorite there.

By the way, he measured at exactly 15 hands and 927 pounds.
Wallaby, Koolio, shaggy and 1 others like this.

Took Cinny for a spin in the arena. He did really really well for his first time in a new place, especially with all the toys, fake flowers, ground poles, etc. He relaxed down after about 20 minutes and concentrated on work. There was another girl riding and one of the trainers was barking at her. She was really frustrated with her horse and having a hard time. She kept looking at me and Cinny with a sad look on her face. It made me think of myself a year ago....riding in an arena with all these really great riders who's horses were doing everything seemingly perfect... and I thought to, I'm the "other rider" now...

So I had a little pep talk with the girl later and explained to her that it has taken me two years to get to where I am right now with my horse. Her horse is even more difficult as it's an OTTB with only a year off the track, and she is a green rider. I told her to smile and don't worry about what they can't do every rider has been in her shoes. Just try to have fun and take her time, she'll get there.

That was so sweet of you to hlep & encourage that other gal. sometimes we really need a boost & it's especially lovely when it comes from someone we don't know. Glad Cinny did so well & sounds like he will be a favorite there.

What a wonderful first experience :) And it was lovely of you to talk with that girl.

Glad you are enjoying the barn so far!

It sounds like both you and Cinny will be loving the new barn!
How kind of you to speak with the girl that was feeling down. I'm sure you really encouraged her. :)

Cinny has a new girlfriend already... It's a red roan paint named Sparkles... Leave it to him to choose the snobbiest mare in the place too LOL She wants NOTHING to do with the Cin man, no matter how hard he tries to get her attention ha ha.
