Color

As I'm sure a lot of people here have a special color(s) for their horse, as in halter, lead rope, or basically anything they like to match...what colors do you think looks good on a bay horse?

Greens, or natural tones. I'd stay away from red or purple, though, just my opinion.

Step one: Mount horse. Step two: Stay mounted.

I'm boring, my bay wears black.

I've used red and purple on him and it looks good too. A light purple wouldn't look as good as a deep, rich purple though.

Just said it was my opinion. ;) I didn't say it was right or wrong.

Step one: Mount horse. Step two: Stay mounted.

My favs on bays are purple, red and hunter green, though bright blues dont look too bad!

We have 4 bays.

Hugo is in navy blue
Kody is in "wine"
Fanta is in purple
& Phoenix is in hunter green.

Personally I think they all look smashing!

My horse, Sailor, is a very dark bay with black points. I use burgundy tack because that is my favorite color. It doesn't look good on him as he is almost burgundy himself. My friends tease me about even getting a burgundy horse. You would not believe all the stuff I have collected in that color. So much that when I am looking for something, sometimes I can't find it because EVERYTHING is the same color!!!

Anyway, the burgundy looks great on my black horse. I think Sailor looks sharp in black. Sorry, this isn't much help.
