Craziest thing you have done with a horse?

I know there was one of these threads here, like, in 2010, but I'd really like to recreate this type of thread. I'm sure lots of more crazy stuff has happened with our equines...or equines that aren't ours... I will start with some things I've done:

When I was 10 or so, I went to a kids camp which had two black ponies. Those ponies grew to trust me and I went around to the back of the camp cottage where there was a little stable. NOBODY ever knew I was there. I spend most of my spare time there, making food for them by mixing grass, clover and other stuff. I even climbed over the fence and sat on one of the ponies while it was calmly standing in the run in stable. Yep, I was (and still am) a crazy kid ( I'm a crazy teen lol). I didn't even know if these ponies where broken in!

A few months ago, the neighbours' friend gave us her horse to "look after" who,e she was pregnant. (the owner, not the horse). The horse is a chestnut gelding called Fleet, and is famous for being crazy. For the first few days, I just hung out with the two geldings (Luca was on the same paddock) and then I got a crazy idea.......Fleet didn't seem so bad, so I put his halter on him, made so e reins out of a long lead rope and hopped on his back, bareback and bridle less. it was great ! Fleet was nothing like they described him to be. He had a nice outline, beautiful gaits (a high whither...ouch.) and responded to the slightest cues. I rode him for about 10 minutes on the giant paddock. I'm so crazy....

Another one with Fleet! By now, I had lots of trust in Fleet because I now rode him regularly so that he doesn't get fat (he does that very easily...get fat, I mean. )So I went in the paddock, with my helmet on :P and jumped on Fleet's back, no tack or anything at all. He was standing on the lower part of the paddock. So I held on to his neck (no, I didn't pull at his mane, I didn't even grasp it... ) and galloped him up the hill at full speed. THAT was fun. But crazy.

Now it's your guys' (and girls') turn! What crazy things have you done with equines?

By the way: Fleet is now my sister's lease horse!

Proud owner of a Standardbred!

I've went trick or treating with an old gelding, also took him into the Olds folks home so they could see him.
Ran from the cops...Good luck chasing a horse. LOL
Some things maybe weren't exactly 100% legal but it was all in good fun.

I did hop up on my sister'z crazy horse. He ran off and put me over his head and under a gate, where I broke my finger.
Midnight rides by the moon are tons of fun.

Lol iv done so many crazy things with horses i cant even remember them all.
Ok for one there was this horse that appeared at the ranch, apparently someone left him there for several days. i went out caught him, put a lead rope around his neck and jumped on. we ran around the field for about 20 minutes, then i hopped off. when the ownner came to get him they couldnt believe someone was crazy enough to hop on him, apparently he had bucked several people off, but i suspect it was because they were big people and i was like 12 and only weighed 70lbs at the time.
Then another time we went and looked at this horse who was 12 and hadnt been ridden since he was 4 when he went to the trainer. I asked if i could ride him and they told me i could try. i hopped on with just a halter and lead rope and took off up the hill yelling and having fun. we ran up and zig zagged through trees then i spun him round and went down the hill and barely stopped before the fence, the owners were shocked. we ended up not getting that horse for some reason but remembering how fun he was to ride i wish i had got him.

If your horse thinks your the greatest person in the world dont seek a second opinion.

Gator hunting. Not so much crazy as some of the best adventures I've ever had. For one thing, Annie knew where they were before I knew they were there! I've also used my horse to wake board which I suck at without her. Lol

I have rode a horse into a bar.

An ex-boyfriend took a horse that he had just bought a sale, rode him into a bar, the horse went bat sh!t crazy and tore up the dance floor and the band cost over $10,000 to replace...whoops, it always seems like a great idea after a half a jug of hooch.

I broke out of the forest and galloped down a busy highway, shooting dogs back into the brush. One of the dogs took off across the road so I had to jump the cement medium after him. I caught him on the other side of the road and waited for the kennel truck. A cop showed up with his lights and questioned everything. What the f was I doing? Why do I have a gun? Whats in it? Was I shooting dogs? Why? when he discovered I was with the foxhunters, he slowed traffic so I could jump back across safely.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

I train at a non-profit, where we have many, many non-horse kids during our summer camps. When we are offered a horse for our program, I routinely do crazy things to test the horse's tolerance for the stupid things that kids can do. Some of these things are: Running and screaming up to a horse, popping out from behind walls, crawling under a horse, both side to side, and back to front, yanking on a tail, stuff like that.

Kids and horses----it just doesn't get any better!
