Crossing State Lines

Going from NC to SC with a horse. I've been told all I need to legally cross the state line is a neg. Coggins. I was also told I need a updated health certificate. No one seems to know for certain what you have to have to cross state lines. Anyone know from experience? Or just know? THANKS!!!!!!!
