Dating a Horse Person

I think you all will get a big laugh from this article. My boyfriend wrote it - he had never been around horses before and was thrown into the eventing scene once we began dating. Amazingly, he's still sticking around! Although it's about eventing, I think this can be applied to all horse people and their significant others.

Here is the article: http://area1usea.org/Resources/Newsletter/2011-jan2.pdf

Katie, he is a gem! Found myself smiling and chuckling throughout the article. Which he did a wonderful job writing.

Thanks for sharing.

Bahhahaha! What a good thread! I forwarded it to my man who has the same sense of humor. He also got into horses big time after meeting me. I think the man is more passionate about them than I am! Thanks for sharing the article, it was a good laugh

Shutdown Joe - If you have Facebook, try searching for "Murphy Eventing" - I have it listed there. Or try copying and pasting the link in your web browser.

All - thank you! I haven't dated much, but he's the best so far. The others seemed to fade away when event season came around. I am so glad you all enjoyed it!

Cute. My husband and child would surely relate. Although, poor husband, the weekend is about hauling me and Ri to the show and then taking the big boy over to the nearest amusement park or on a canoe trip then rushing back to the barn to grill dinner for all... teeehee... gotta love them men.
