    Deal on Square Hay Bales

We went to the local horse auction last night and someone brought in 120 nice square bales of hay to sell. The square bales in my area are going for around $4.00 a bale and up. We got these for $2.50 each!

Nice to get a break now and then

Of course we had to run home for the truck and trailer, then load all those bales. They were NOT going to be there the next day if we had left them unattended.

    Thank you.

We ran out of hay this past spring and had to find some, at what we all know is the worst time to be looking for hay.
We found a guy who had saved a bunch for a friend and that friend had sold their horses so he sold it to us for the price he was planning to sell it to his friend (about $1 below market value per bale).

I for sure did the happy dance about that one too.

That's a VERY good deal. Hay bites this year in my area (because of the gas prices)...
