    So, so true. Family feuds around inheritance can be so vile, evil and destructive. This is mind boggling, since no one actually "deserves" anything. It should be treated as a gift, not a right...
    If the inheritance comes your way, great. Figure out what to do with it when the time comes. In the meantime, build your own life.
    Moving away from all you've ever known feels daunting, but keep an open mind and chances are good that it will also be a great personal experience in the end (I have changed continents, and while it was hard at first, I regret nothing). So I think if the only thing holding you back is fear of leaving familiar territory, I'd say go for it.
