Unhappy Devastating news

My barn owner called me at 7:30am. I was still sleeping so I missed the call, she left me a message, which I didn't get till after I missed her call a second time around 9:30. As soon as I saw she was calling me that early I dreaded listening to the message. The barn next door to where I board Bella burnt down around 1am. All the horses were in and none made it out The barns are very close and they share a driveway. If the wind had been blowing the right way embers could have caught the barn where Bella is on fire. I'm just to completely devastated by the news. I didn't know any of them very well, but I had watched the owner of the barn and her trainer both ride their horses and always admired them. I can't even believe that they are all gone. As of right now I don't think the cause has been determined(my barn owner thinks maybe electrical). A friend of mine just posted that there were 6 horses in the barn. I cannot even imagine what the owners are going through. I want to the barn today but I don't even know what I would say, I've been sobbing since I got the news.

That's horrific... such sad news... someone was obviously watching over your barn though.

Thoughts are with the horse owners.

Oh wow. That is one of my worst nightmares! So so glad your barn was safe, and my thoughts are with the lost horses and their owners.

That's horrible.. My thoughts are with the owners! :( a barn near me also burned down a few weeks ago. There were 15 horses and all but one made it out okay. Such a horrible thing.
