I don't know where else to put this but it is horse related so I stuck it here... hopefully it's in the right place.

I have to get this off my chest and y'all would probably understand our situation so thanks for reading! I have told part of my story before but to keep everyone on the same page I'm gonna tell it again... you see, my hubby and I have been renting a house with about 2-3 acres of land for the last three years and when we first moved in here we had told our landlord that we would eventually want to get horses and asked if he would allow us to use the land he owns behind us if we pay extra rent. It's about 5 acres and we offered him an extra 500 per month for us to use. There's nothing on it so we'd have to fence it and put a shelter of some sort there but we were ok with it... well, for the last three years he's been joking with us and asking us when we were going to be getting horses. We wanted to wait until we were financially stable enough to provide for them so about 6 months ago we started looking at horses for sale. We found two about three months ago and ended up buying them. We told him about the horses and asked him exactly where he would allow us to put the barn and such and he told us that he didn't want horses on the property "because they tear up the grass" !!! Anyways, that started us looking for a place to either board or rent so we could live on the same property... We found a few and looked at a few.. long story short we found a barn for rent 5 miles from our current house rental which was perfect. Went to look at it this past weekend and told the lady who was showing it to us that we wanted it.. she stated that we had to meet with the owner and talk to him to sign the lease.. fine.. no problem.. but he's out of town for 9 days on biz.. ok.. we'll wait... got an email today from the lady stating that the other people who wanted to keep their horses there for field board had talked to the owner and had made arrangements to have full access to the whole property! Barn included! We had told the lady we didn't want our horses to be pastured with the other ladies horses and she originally had no problems with that.. now this happens.. then she calls me and says that these people also had "babies" that needed to be stalled overnight but we could rent one stall in the barn still... WTF?!?! It went from us renting the whole barn for ourselves (a total of 5 stalls) along with access to all the pastures (10 acres total in 4 pastures).

Why do people have to run their mouth and get us all excited and happy that we finally found a place that suited us and was actually perfect and then to be let down like this with a change in story that she supposedly didn't know happened?? I know I probably forgot to put something in the story but I'm just so PO'd I'm having a hard time concentrating.. if you need anything cleared up just post and I'll answer..

Thanks for reading this whole post/rant.. and I'm sorry it was sooo long but like I said.. I had to get it off my chest.:evil::evil:

How disappointing! I would be upset too.
Sounds like these other people were lucky enough to talk to the owner while you had to talk to a third party.
Why not try talking to the owner yourselves? (Hopefully before these people move their horses in)
Something along the lines of.. We are willing to rent your Whole property, house included, just us, or no deal.
By renting out just his barn and pasture, he is making it harder on himself to rent out the house.
Good luck finding a place! :)
