Do you nick name your horses?

Okay well... It's already a known fact that I'm pretty much a loser, and I do some pretty loser-ish stuff... But does anyone have inside jokes, or nick name their horses? I nick name just about all of my animals. Especially my horse, which is weird. I know. What is even weirder is I have inside jokes with my horse... Because I'm a loser. Hahaha.

Cricket's nick name is Cricketeazer Scrooge, Scrooge, Cricketee, and I sometimes sing "Scroogey face, sc- sc- scroogey face..." in the tune to Poker Face. I also have an inside joke with her. Now that the light is changing and her coat is coming in, she looks rather rustic. So sometimes I say she's a wild mustang. Well, now the big joke is that she's a wild stallion. It's funny because she's a mare... So one day I went out and I said "Scroogey faaace!!!!!" and she perked up her ears and nickerd. And so I said "SHE'S A WIIIIILD STALLIOOOON!!!!!!!!!!" And this guy looked at me like I was an idiot. I know she isn't REALLY a stallion. Sheesh.

I also sing to her... Like when she does something right I'll sing "V-I-C-T-O-R-Y THIS IS CRICKET'S BATTLE CRY!!!"

Don't ask. I warned you that I was a loser.

You're not a loser!

Nelson's barn name is Nelson - of course. And his show name is Quantum Leap. I just recently found out his real Registered Name, which is Prime Target.

His nick name, he has a few - but the one I call him the most is Boo Berry.

Boo Berry.

I started to call him Boo. You know, the shortened term for Significant Other. My Boo.

And then it merged into Boo Berry because our Eventing Colors are Baby Blue and Navy Blue. Someone said that he looked like a giant BlueBerry *while he was in his Navy Blue Light Weight*

So - it became

Boo Berry.

Better than Dingle Berry I guess?

My mares registered name is Keep Em Talkin. Her barn name is Abby. I also call her Abby Gabby Gayle, Gabby, sometimes Gabby in multiples when she's not listening, Abicrombie. I sing to my horse. Talk to her non-stop and also beleive my mom is with me through my horse and Im 36 years old. My mare has a heart on her neck also. So when you say things like your a looser. Your not, your just human! We all do things and say things to our horses. They get us through the day to day things. My mare is one of the last things my mom came to my house to see before she was hospitalized with cancer. She never came back out. My horse is my mom to me. I tell her everything. Someone got to listen to my crap. Thanks to all the horses out there for listening to us Humans!

Hahahahahaha I totally have inside jokes with Lacey. I thought I was the only one! Haha My favorite joke with her is that she's my itty bitty pony. She is kinda tiny but she tries to convince me that I'm too big (I'm not) for her (mostly just by giving me reproachful looks when i'm on her back) and so I baby talk her and call her tiny tiny tiny tiny and it's just funny.

I also like to tell her yo' mama jokes when she's being a jerk or sometimes she'll rear or something equally jerk-y and I'll just sit there and be like "YO' MAMA FOOL!". Thankfully I'm alone most of the time at the barn. Haha

As for pet names, I called her Pretty Girl, Girly, Girlfriend, Home Dawg and Low Ridah (since she's short and long). Haha

Green Broke
As DH puts it, I "*******ize" the name of every animal we have to the point you would never know what their real name is. They all have too many nick-names to count.

Wildey is my baby so he is bubba or bub.

Buddy is boof head also because his head really is big :]

Pepper I call a bunch of things... Peppi, Peppi-le-pew, little sh*t - lol!

A friends horse is called Crystal - We *******ized that one into trisle!

I call my dog boo berry constantly.. lol but I have no reason to. I don't call anyone else boo. It's strange...

Bali is just "Bali Boy" or "Bali Baby"... "sweets" and "cutey" and all those too...

Ice is affectionately nicknamed "Lucifer", lol. That was given to him by my BO. I usually call him "pony", "poop head", "boo boops" or when he's not listening I'll call him by his full barn name "Ice Man!"
