Does any one ever get that 'guilty' feeling?

As I lay here on the couch under 5 blankets and a heating pad, I feel so guilty that I've been slacking on the barn chores and that I haven't spent alot of time with the horses in the last few days cause I'm sick as a dog...

Anyone ever get these rediculous feelings of guilt over something so minuscule??

Yes.
Today I'm not riding, so I keep thinking I should at least pull the mare in for a little bit of ground work.
Then, I figure, she needs a day here and there to not be messed with~ at least that's how I justify it to myself.

But, you are sick, so that's different. Relax and get better. Guilt free. Make up for it when you're better.

That was me the past 5 days. DH was kind enough to feed and check on my two but I didn't manage to get out there until today. I fed, groomed a bit and dragged myself back in to the house exhausted.

I took this week off work to play with the ponies and got cheated by the flu! Grrrrrrr!

I have the flu too. I fed yesterday and couldn't bring myself to do it today. The BF tucked the horses in for me tonight and fed. Ugh :( tis' the season!

I hope you feel better soon. Mine started last Friday and only today did I feel human enough to feed myself. Ugh!

Hope you all get to feeling better soon! I hate the flu with a passion. No need to feel guilty, as long as someone is pinch hitting for you and they're all getting fed, they're happy! Maybe they'll miss you a little and be happy to see you when you are better, eh?

LOL!! Your lucky you have someone who can do it for you..The last time I send someone to do it for me to bring in my 15 hand QH they brought in the 17 hand TB who likes to kick people....and when he was told he had the wrong horse he grabbed mine and put the blanket on backwards!! The tail flap was on his neck. It wasn't until late in the evening when he told me how hard it was to do up the buckles around his back legs. Thank god the other barn mates were watching and laughing their heads off and then when he left they put the blanket on right. He's lucky he didn't try to do that with the TB!! Take care, feel better, no guilt and horses will survive!!

Hugs.

I work a lot, so don't get to spend as much time with my horses as I used to.

A good friend told me this
'Those horses are happy as can be'.

Nope, they aren't complaining.
Life is pretty good just hanging out and eating!

I'd have laughed so hard I'd wet myself if I ever saw that!
