career specifically? nope, not at all. there's so much more to life to be enjoyed. do most of my own training, as well as helping other folks out in that area, too. wife's a wonderful teacher when it comes to riding, and i think we just got another horse that'll act nicely as a lesson horse.

other than that, i have my regular job in the cattle business, and in the next few years will farm this place myself (1200 acres combined grass/crop land), probably keep my day job, and train some more horses for other people as well. so, specifically horse related 'career', no way, but they definitely fit into my overall picture.

I would love to have a career in horses!! I'm only a freshman in high school, but I really want to go to Cornell University to become a large animal veterinarian. I am good at dreaming big!!;)

It used to be my dream to own a huge sanctuary where "useless", abused, or slaughter bound horses could spend the rest of their lives, but then reality kicked in and I realized it'll never happen unless I win the lottery.

I'd rather pursue my goal of owning an antique shop and freelance writing, and try to help as many horses as my resources will allow. I'd kind of like to take in retired/pasture sound horses and give them a forever home, even if I can only afford 1 or 2 at a time.
