I couldn't imagine a 20hh horse, I think I'd be keeping my butt OFF of his back, thank you very much O.O

That said, I would definitely not allow or encourage face licking. Even if it doesn't progress to nipping, the prospect of a sudden movement and broken nose (or jaw) is too frightening.

Big Jake has made it into the Guinness World Records Book for 2013 as the tallest living horse.

Big Jake stands an official six feet, ten and three-quarter inches tall. In horse world talk, he is 20 hands, two and three-quarter inches. He weighs in at 2,600 pounds.

This is a photo of me with a broodmare known for being a downright aggressive jerk.

This was her being affectionate. She only tried it with me and eventhen while it may seem cute, it could get out of hand.

Horses aren't dogs. Nor do they communicate in the same way. I've had my finger clamped on by a horse (on accident, he thought it was the bit) I would not want my face to be clamped.

I should mention I only wanted a picture next to her, not of her doing this. Complete fluke

My appyX mare licks me all over - but is very careful not to lick my face - but I would be honored if she did. My haffie filly tries to - but I do not and never will encourage it...she is just to "messy".

Why?

And no, my horse would be getting a severe smack if he even dreamed of coming close to my face like that.

One of the horses in our barn licked my upper arm/shoulder not too long ago. His owner told my daughter we could feed him a carrot when we see him, so I'm pretty sure he was looking for more carrot and discovered I was salty. ;)
