Welllllll, I went to the sale and found 2 little fillies that I just had to bring home. One is a sweet looking little dun mare and the other a buckskin Presidente Shiner filly. Lakers Smoke Quarter Horse
Ok, grabbed some quickie shots while the girls were out in the yard.
They've decided that they're Frick and Frack and joined at the hip.
Poor little Dancer has not had enough to eat and is looking kind of rough. I bet on her genetics to see if I can feed her up and find the diamond in the rough. Can you BELIEVE they RODE her through the pen? I wanted to jump the fence and snatch that fool off of her.
Little Miss Smoke hasn't had any more than her share of groceries but she's not near as thin and small as Dancer. She, I KNOW I can feed up and watch blossom.
And, doing his usual superlative job of supervising all the doings, here is Patchy Cat. He's been my head barn cat for a LOOONG time now and made it clear he wanted HIS due too.
Are you going to change your name to Dreamcatcher QH's?
Looks like someone is going to have a few double dilutes in the near future. Shalom
I won't change my forum name, the business name is Dreamcatcher Horse Ranch LLC.
Hopefully not toooo many double dilutes, though I LOVE them. It's kind of hard to find Shining Spark bloodlines that aren't dilute and when this little one came in the ring, I didn't care if she was dilute, she was coming home with me. PERIOD. LOL! I had actually only gone with the intent to buy ONE bay filly/mare but as usual fate intervened.
Dancer proved she's got the blood though, today, when she met the "bite wire" aka electric fence. She hit it a couple of times, kind of in disbelief that someone would actually DO that and then she was running with Smoke for a bit and came real close to the fence. She realized what was about to happen and did a very nice slide stop and roll back to head the other way and avoid the fence.
