    So what you're saying is that during this recession when the industry is in the toilet all the local cheaper trainers around you are doing poorly, but for some reason all the horse owners are flocking to get their horses trained by more expensive you? Interesting.

    Around here in NC people a lot of folks are trying to sell still untrained young horses that they bought as foals because of lack of $$s, especially since training/boarding prices have gone up due to the cost of hay/feed/etc.

    A barn I work at in the summer is full up. Only one empty stall. Their board varies depending on how much they show the horse and what the owner wants done with it. But they get a lot of calls seeing if they have any openings. They have six horses on pasture too. Its a walking horse barn
