I know I look like crap myself, but I was in my dressage saddle and he is a pretty awkward jumper , I also didn't think he would jump because normally he just stops, hehe ;)

I like the shot you took of the Paint

Here's this year's first rodeo, and my horse spooked at the ground and I almost fell off. Did 3/4 of my run with no stirrups.

My first taste of breaking horses. Don't judge me. This was 2 years ago.

I think everyone that has posted on this thread is fantastic... it got a little hot but despite everything, people stayed understanding. We all make mistakes, have our stupid moments, make idiots of ourselves at times. People judge, give their opinions, and if they are smart, they'll forgive and forget. And through it all, everyone learns a thing or two about themselves and everyone else, even if nobody's sure what those things are . So, im aware that I sound like a mother right now (im not, im not even 20), but good on y'all!!now, I have some pics of my own to share!! These are of a dutch warmblood mare I tried out, lovely mare but FEISTY!!! I've never ever ridden a horse with so much attitude! I loved her, but fell in love with current horse even more!! In two of these, she slammed to a walk from canter right in front of the tiny crossrail, probably thinking it was not worthy of a jump nope, she walked it without hesitation. In the others, I have no idea what she thought she was doing. Bunny leaps, crowhops, you name it!!!!!! This mare has it all in her!

Reminds me of a horse name PJ that is SUCH A CLUTZ. One time my trainer, some girl and I were riding out to check on the cattle (I was on PJ obviously) and there were quite a few times when I should've fallen off, but didn't (: Just to name a few:
We were crossing a dry river (a wide river might I add) and he for some reason decided to LOPE ACROSS. Whatever PJ. That was so unexpected!!!

I was just sitting on him, relaxing, watching the cattle. Then some birds or something spooked him and he jumped sideways. Keep in mind I was relaxed; not holding on to anything. I was really surprised I didn't fall off that time!

We were crossing a small stream that had bricks in it (WHAT??? I don't know why there would be any in there..anyways) and one of his back legs slipped on a slippery brick. -_- Typical.

And last but not least: We were sitting still yet again, and he spooked at a tarp that was nearby.

Moral of the story: Don't take PJ on a trail ride when he hasn't been ridden in a long time (his owner is off at college so he doesn't get ridden much, but when he's in shape he's a really nice show horse! ) and PJ would never survive as a ranch horse.
