Smile English presentation on my interests!

Presentation on horses and horse riding?
I have been asked to do a presentation, this was the brief:
'Your presentation will be focused on an area of interest to you personally. You will need a suitable focus I.e 'Norwich City Football Club without Paul Lambert' rather than just football in general, you must aim to persuade your audience to get involved with your area of interest. Your class mates will be required to ask questions at the end so ensure you are prepared'

That is my brief, I am actually only interested in horse riding! But, I do not show etc. just hack out and in general horsemanship bonding. What kind of things would you horsey people add into this presentation? And if you are not horsey, what would you like to hear.
I have a structure prepared:

Area of interest? Horse riding.
What is it? Bonding and riding in general,
Why is it interesting? (what shall I put?)
What personal experience do I have? Lived with horses a majority of my life.
Turning negatives into positives? People being scared of them, but you have to understand them.
How could you get involved? Different riding schools in my local area and how they benefit people.

I need to prepare a speech, but am not aloud to read it off a script. I can also prepare a Powerpoint to give a visual aid to the viewers.
Any serious ideas will be appreciated, please answer asap.

Thanks,

You could put something the different disciplines and how because of them, horses can appeal to many different kinds of people. Trail for relaxing, barrels for adrenaline, or jumping, depending on what you like. Dressage, endurance, etc. jousting and mounted shooting for the boys :) good luck!!

You probably have enough general knowledge to answer questions from classmates that know enough about horses to spell the word.

However be prepared to have a classmate that is an experienced horse person, to ask some complicated questions.

Hopefully no one will ask something you don't know but if they do, step up to the plate and graciously say "I honestly don't have an answer for you but I will look it up and let you know

As far as your outline you've prepared - remember most of your peers and possibly your teacher are completely clueless about horses:
************************************************** *
Area of interest? Horse riding.
What is it? Bonding and riding in general,How does one bond with a horse? What does general riding mean?
Why is it interesting? (what shall I put?)What you put is what it means to you.
What personal experience do I have? Lived with horses a majority of my life.
Turning negatives into positives? People being scared of them, but you have to understand them.So how do I learn to understand a horse?
How could you get involved? Different riding schools in my local area and how they benefit people.

A lot of non horsey people think that horses are like dogs or cats. Write about how they are NOT like other "pets".
They are prey animals, unlike cats/dogs, so have a different way of perceiving the world and their size means we can never treat them the way we would a dog, or we could be hurt or killed

Non horsey people also think they are very stupid for the way they panic or freak out explain why horses do this and how we humans can learn to live next to a 1200 lb animal that could leap 6 feet sideways at any second.

You are not addressing one of the the criteria that you were given. You are talking about horse riding in general rather than giving it a focus.

The brief sounds like they want something specific, where as your focus seems to be pretty vague.

What you could do is talk about horse care perhaps? It has to do with your interest and it gets specific. You could go into feeding, grooming, hoof trimming, etc.? Most non-horsey people I know don't even realize that a horse needs its feet trimmed, teeth floated or can't just be fed anything.

Or if that is still too general, you could talk about your horse specifically, or someone's horse that you know. Get into the breed, how/where it originated, etc. Any health issues with that breed, temperament, etc. That's all I got!
