Smile Equine Physiotherapist wannabe!

When I grow up I want to be an equine physiotherapist and I was wondering how I can achieve this dream. I have some experience as a RDA volunteer, does that help me?

You'll need to get a degree in order to become a licensed physiotherapist, which means going to a veterinary college. No, volunteering won't help at all.

Some vets specialize in equine/canine physiotherapy. It's not something you can just 'pick up'.

But volunteering is a great way to network, gain experience, and get your foot in the door. It won't replace schooling but will give you an advantage once you've gotten certified. Keep volunteering it definitely won't hurt any.

Volunteering will give her equine care experience, but it won't help in getting her certified as a physiotherapist. That's going to take a lot of years, dedication, and hard work to get to that point. I don't honestly see how volunteering will give her an advantage, other than a personal one.

Careers are built on connections. It may not give her an advantage in her schooling, but it WILL once she has finished her education and is looking for a client base.
