Equine Teen Talk! *horse show life*

Hey this is just a place for teens to talk about our fellow Equines!

I don't know about you but if you show horses regularly life can be really busy and sometimes stressful. How do you cope? I know in the summer I am at the barn everyday for hours. I love it all so much and wouldnt trade it for the world but you know its just nice to talk about with people who understand.
So my first topic I guess for the Equine Teen talk thread would be horse show life.

Being on a island in the middle of the north sea I don't have many shows to go to, I have only been to 4 shows so far 1 last year as strangles was about, 2 the year before and one the year before that. This year if I can we will be going to 5 shows,3 of which are in the period of 8 days, one on Saturday, one a Wednesday and one on Sunday. Going to be a hell of a week luckily that is August. The thing I hate most about showing is it tends to be the judges friends that wins or the big blacks that win. Luckily this year I have a champion stallion to show.

It is smallish where we live we live 24 miles from the only town on the island. We would love to take our stallion to some big shows on the British mainland but I don't think he will cope well this the traveling.
