As you may or may not have read, I've been stuck horseless for awhile and just not taking it all too well.
I sold my TB (who just wasn't right for me) to a good friend of mine also around the same time that she obtained an adorable little Haflinger x Arab mare. I instantly felt really drawn to her and because my friend has been busy and isn't as well used to her type I thought I'd see if she'd be interested in me working with her a bit (because she needs a ton of work).
For awhile it was really back and forth, whether or not I was going to get to work with her, but today, despite that I haven't felt up to going out to the stable much lately because I just got so jealous and frustrated, I felt like I really needed to get out there. I went out today to visit with Buddy (my mom's old fella)
Well, I happened to run into this friend for the first time in awhile and she let me work with her a bit in the round pen, and we're just taking it slow for now but it went super well and we're going to start doing it more often.
I'm really excited because I've been really increasingly horse sick; horses are just in my blood (I'm sure y'all are familiar with that feeling
) and I just can't see myself doing anything with my life but something in the horse world, so to be without a horse is just...not for me, lol
I really like this horse and I do great with this kind of personality, so I'm so grateful for this opportunity! It's great to have a nosey pony face all over me again
Anyway, I just wanted to share. Here is a picture of us the other day, before this experience, when we'd only visited a bit through her stall:
Isn't she a cutie?
