Excited!

After a few days of calling every vet in Kentucky I FINALLY found a vet that is only ten minutes away from where my new mare is! After thinking I found a vet and them telling me they wouldn't do it. Finding another vet who said they would rather not do it. Tomorrow she is getting her Health Certificate and Coggins so she can cross the boarder to Ohio! Sunday the shipping company, which has already been paid for, is picking her up and bringing her here.

Someone in Texas (the mare's sponsor) graciously (without my asking) paid for the vet and shipping. I told her over e-mail that I finally found a vet that was going out to do it but they were going to call me back with the price first. She asked me what the number was and apparently called and took care of the bill because when they called me back they said "don't worry someone already took care of it". I was like What?? lol.

"What you talking about Willis?"

I need name suggestions cause I'm not digging Sherilynn.....

I was thinking Cecily or Siena?

No good with names. Glad things are finally working out.

I wonder why the two vets did not want to do it?

I think Gracie is a super cute name, I've never met an animal named Gracie that wasn't the sweetest thing ever. And also, it could kind of be a play on her color.

As an aside, she's super cute! Is this the preggo mare? Do you know what the sire is?

Fabio - 13 year old Arabian/Lipizzaner gelding
Hazel - 14 year old Angora goat

Atticus - 4 year old LaMancha/Alpine cross goat

Rest peacefully, Lacey.

Wow! That's really weird they refused to do it. I guess economy is not that bad down there then... I'm glad it worked out for you. How long does it take to haul?

I don't know why he said he would rather not do it...the weather? maybe because I needed him out there ASAP in order to get her shipped on Sunday? He said he was only 15 minutes away but he sounded older.... I don't know.

Yes, this is the possibly pregnant mare. The sire is a QH colt that the current owner of the mare is guessing at being a chestnut.

Gracie is cute but I've had a Grace... I don't usually do repeat names, lol. I wanted something with a Sh or S sound to go off her current name.

I'm not too good with names! How about Allie/Ally - as in the Alamo, little bit of Texas touch since that is where she is coming from?

What a cutie though!

All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl.

Oh she's not coming from Texas. A lady in Texas is sponsoring her trip. She is coming from Kentucky, lol.

What do you guys think of the name Safia? It's Arabic and I like it.
