Smile Fantastic Lesson! (also update of my Sloppy Knees thread)

    Hi guys!

I had the most fantastic lesson ever today! =D I think we found my horse's calling! We practiced jumper courses today, and we both LOVED it!

We were making the turns perfectly, getting just the right striding, jumping beautifully, and just having fun like we should!

As for the update part, I recently posted on my horse not tucking his legs well, whether it was because of his capability or just laziness. Well today, we raised the jumps slightly to about 2'6 (the height we will be showing at) and did lots of fun courses, and he started tucking his legs nicely. Honestly, this tells me that he just wasn't challenged enough and was bored.

Anyway, my trainer doesn't seem to be concerned anymore, and there doesn't appear to be a reason to.

I am just SO happy we found something both me and my horse adore doing, and are good at. I don't think I stopped smiling once during that whole lesson. It truly was the funnest and best thing we've done in a long time.

Afterwards I took him on a little walk around the pond and grazed him. I just wish I had pics

Anyway, thought I would share about the lesson that will have me on cloud 9 for quite a while! =]

*Crosses fingers we'll have more lessons like this to come*
