Question Favorite gender? Mare? Gelding or Stallion?

I hope this is the right place to post this. Since i'm new to the forum I wanted to ask everyone which gender you prefer in horses. Myself I tend to favor mares we just seem to click better. What does everyone else prefer and why?

I'm more of a gelding girl myself. I'm obstinate enough, I don't need to add a temperamental mare to the mix LOL.

I like horses with lots of personality and for that, you can't beat mares.

A good horse is just that despite gender.

I'm a stallion person. We've always had studs in our barn & I've always clicked with them the best. My oldest is 29 & he's been my favorite to ride since I was able to ride on my own & I counted down days until I turned 18 and could show him. I do still ride him lightly a couple days a week as does my daughter but I really miss showing him every weekend!

Aside from studs we've always had mares \as it's been a qh breeding operation since the 50s so my gelding experience is limited to those I've trained for others and now Woodstock who just got the snip. I adore him so I may just be turning into the gelding lady lol! We've only had 2 witchy mares over the years and I butted heads with both of them, big time...think it's because I'm just as stubborn....

I'd say geldings. Even though I lease a mare...I've always bonded faster and worked better with the geldings. :)

Lol, my horses have all "chosen" me in some form or another, so I don't really care. You can get eveil mares stallions or geldings and you can get angels in all three, it all depends on the individual. My first horse was a gelding and my first ranch was biased against mares. Everyone thought they were moody and evil, and the few mares that were at that ranch WERE moody and evil. My second horse was a mare and now my third is a mare also. I love a bold personality, and the last two were rather misunderstood in their situations. So I guess i'm currently on the pro-mare bandwagon, lol. I've also dealt with both psycho and really nice stallions, but i've never owned one so I have no preference there....
