Feeling lucky and grateful today

I have the best horse I could ever ask for. Somehow I managed to get the kind of horse that people are dying to find...middle age, nearly bombproof, affectionate, willing, loves to be ridden, will go anywhere, loads like a dream, great for all the necessary things (vet, farrier, etc.) trustworthy, loyal, trail/western/english - he does it all, love to go places, behaves well in new surroundings, and takes care of me and forgives me when I make a mistake, but wants to please. Somehow I picked up this horse on Craigslist for $450. I could triple my money on him for the demand I see out there, but he'll stay with me for the rest of his life.

Just feeling so lucky to have found this boy

That would be awesome! I've been looking just looking for a horse that can run a good barrel but be calm in the hunter over fences classes... under $1000 its proving to be quite impossiable by me

His new shoes made a scary sound on the bridge, but he trusted me completely and was happy to go across the bridge.

I am so nervous about bridges but we had one at our old barn and we had to cross it in order to get to all the good stuff. And Sky is 17hh and there was a tree limb my height so I had to either duck or do a back bend (yeah I was kind of an idiot back then ahaha) but Sky got over it fine. He was hesitant but he didn't jump out of his skin when the branch made noise or his hooves echoed.

So proud of those moments!! You know you've done good when you can handle a bridge :)

I love it when people appreciate what they have. It reminds me, and others, to do the same. Thanks.

I have access to two wonderful horses. They are not mine, but I part least them. Both are the nicest personalities. Some issues, but mostly, I am totally blessed to be able to ride these two. Took one out today and had a bang up ride. What a great feeling!
