I bought my American Quarter Horse, Koby, about a year ago and as soon as I paid for him, his previous owner split. Koby is supposedly a pure-bred, registered, American Quarter Horse. I don't have any information other than his age (9), barn name (Koby), and color (bay with 4 black socks and a white mark on his face). Is there any possible way that I could get any info on him? I would love to know his full name, bloodlines, ect...I am a 'little' frustrated because I paid more for him because he was registered. His previous owner was a friend of my trainers so I trusted him (DUMB DUMB DUMB I KNOW). He never gave me any papers and won't answer his phone. Any information would be great! Thank you!
Good luck. Ran into a similar problem with my boy. Got him from a coworker who only had him briefly and never got his papers from the original owner since he was given to her free... I even had part of his registered name and had zero luck. You MAY see if you can find the vet that his previous owner used- maybe they have some background on him??
Unfortunately with the limited info on him, you probably are looking for a needle in a haystack... was he shown? Is there a way you could track him down that way?
