Finding the owner

I got my tb in April of 2006. I bought him off a lady who was boarding him for Jam Jar Stables who are stabled in woodbine. When I purchased him she gave me the papers but its still in Jam Jars name. Im not sure how to get a hold of them to sign over the papers but even if I do figure it out Im not registered with that registery. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Is he tatoo under his upper lip?

Have you asked the seller if they have contact info for Jam Jar? I googled Jam Jar but only found hints of Jam Jar horse racing. Sorry, wish I could be of more help

Is he registered with the Jockey Club? If so I would just contact them or what ever registry he is in. They should be able to tell you how to proceed on getting him signed over to you. I think the Jockey Club registry you don't have to send anything in, you just have to have the papers with the horse. The breeders name is the one on the front and owner transfers are on the back. Its been awhile since I had a TB so things might have changed though.

Back when I wanted to look into her background, I contacted the AQHA, sent them a copy of her papers and a letter.

They promptly sent me a list of addresses they had on file for everyone that owned her.

Maybe try that with the association he is registered with?
