First day of fair today, it's gonna be a long week.....

Today was haul in for fair, no problem right? Well not so much.
Our lil truck blew a head gasket or cracked a head, four or five girls (good riders on decent horses) got to taste the sand buffet, our daughter got kicked and stomped on (someone else's horse) while mounting.
And I got a flat on the trailer.

This could get better, right? Or at least I got all the bad outta the way, one could hope!
Oh yeah, yesterday I bought hay for fair week, it rained, yeppers! Shoulda known!
Ok I'll shut up now and go to bed for the 4 hours I can.

Don't you hate it when you get off to such a bad start. I hope the rest of the week is better for everyone.

Hopefully you can get all the classes done in between all the storms we're supposed to get this week.

Good luck at the fair! Which county?

Thanks for the positive support y'all!
Today thus far, it rained all morning, and we burned up the alternator on my jump starter :/ the arena and warm up rings are the consistency of pudding.

On the positive side, the swelling has gone down on daughters foot. She rode her ambassador patterns today and did awesome. Well as awesome as can be expected, she was lackin a lil on the pleasure end of the riding, but she's never done any pleasure showing. I've yet to see her score sheet though, but rumor was that she was in the running.
Barrels and thread the needle tonite, I'll post how she does.

JCnGrace, we run at st.joe county. Nearby?

Well, I had to get out a map to see where that was. We're at opposite ends of the state. I'm in Washington Co. Which is about 35 miles north of Louisville.

Well barrels didn't go great, she held her pony back. WAY back.
After I beat it out of her, she admitted to being worried about blowing a barrel and the mud.
She got down on thread the needle though! Maybe a lil too down lol. She was smokin, turned the barrel so tight that she ran it over! Not just knocked it over, ran slap over it lol. Still ran a 11 but obviously DQ'd
5th in ambassador, not too shabby I thought.
