Floating in the heat.

So after waiting since mid sept my saddles are finally in. So tomorrow I have to take prin up to the tack store to see their saddle fitter. It will be about an hour and a half trip each way. It's a 35 deg day.

Appointments at 930 so the trip there should be ok. But coming home will be hot. Any tips?

I thought of sponging her down before putting her on or is that over kill?
Obviously no rugs and I don't boot her as she travels much better without them .

Trailer windows open (35 degrees C I'm guessing, as F would be freezing your fanny off weather)

No opening windows but there are vents along the sides and a reasonably open back.

Although I was in there today clearing the rugs out and in the 40 deg heat it was pleasantly cool.

Personally, I wouldn't sponge her down - that might create a sweaty sauna in the heat of an enclosed trailer. Park the trailer in the shade if at all possible, keep the vents open, and make sure she's offered cool water when you stop.
