found something new about my new horse chance!!

Remember how I said she's a pony well turns out her mother was pretty much 16H and her father was 15.2 so she's got more growing to do so she should get up to 15H - 15.2 Or more! Im excited! And I found out that her show name is Chance Encounter here is her pedigree Just thought I would share!!

So how old is Chance...? I thought you gave Lexi up because you couldn't ride her... if Chance is a yearling or something, you can't ride him for a couple years...??? I'm confused.

ETA: although (direct) parents' heights are a good guide to how tall the foal will be, it is definitely not an exact science.. she (he?) may stay a pony, even though that's slightly unlikely.

I can ride chance ... chance is 5 and has been shown a few times in hunter jumping and If you go back to critique chance and re read it I didnt give lexi up just for that reason .. and it wasn't just my choice.

I know she may stay a 'pony' but we are all guessing she's going to be at least 15H cause even the grandparents are pretty big.

Okay, I apologise. I haven't been following the other thread.

If he's 5 and still a pony, chances are he won't grow much.. maybe another inch. How tall is he now?

Its fine :) she's 14.2 My trainer said she probably wont finish growing till she's about 6 which is in a few months So you may be right maybe she will grow a inch but I still hope she will at least reach 15.1H

Heh unless she's magical, I think she's going to stay around 14.2hh.. maybe pop up to 14.3, but I can't really see 15.1... however there's always a first time! I'm not horse height expert!

I highly doubt at 5 years old you are going to see any change in height. If you wanted a larger horse why didn't you get a taller one?

Draft and some of the warmbloods are the only ones to really keep growing even at the age of 5. With your possible pony's breeding I would be expecting anymore height.

Make sure that this is what you want.
