Since she hurt her eye on Saturday, I've been having to put some ointment in her eye twice a day, as per the vet's instructions.
Well, yknow, I figured that by about yesterday morning I was going to be having an issue. I was figuring that she would probably stop letting me catch her since I need to catch her, then put goop in her eye, or that she would start raising her head so high that there was no way that I could pry her eye open and get the stuff in, or that she would yank her head away every time I got close to getting the stuff in, or some variation therein.
But, she hasn't tried any of those. Tomorrow morning is the last day she needs it and this afternoon, she actually lowered her head down and held it still while I opened her eye and put the stuff in. I mean, I didn't even really need to put her halter on! She obviously doesn't like the stuff being put in her eye but she's "helping" me get it in there.
What kind of horse, in their right mind, does that? Why is she so amicable? I love my little pony.
I dunno, I just had to share.
Also, it probably doesn't hurt that I haven't clipped my finger nails recently and when I get done putting the stuff in her eye, I've been scratching her in all her favorite spots and giving her big hugs which she enjoys. Heehee!
