You take one rein and haul the horses head around to your knee forcing them to turn and slow down. You will need to practice that, I do it every time I ride my horse so that when I really need it she knows what it means.

It's also good to help contol scared and onery horses.

    Heres an artical over it.
    Training ~ One-Rein Stop
I know that. Just it been called Nose to Knee.

My horse's ques are weird. I tried to work a que to make her turn with my legs but she justed wanted to run...

Well, since she was excited and bolted I wouldn't think that leg cues would be the best way to get her attention, more than likely you were urging her forward even though you were trying to tell her to turn. The one rein stop would have been better for that situation, as well as sitting deep in your saddle and using your seat to tell her to slow down.

    Yeah...
I just got back from a lesson and my trainer says, ''she can come out and give a lesson on my horse and not a school horse." I told her what happen and she said, ''legs ques might not be good for her. So I won't try turning her with your legs."
My lesson was great so it's getting better then my horse too.
But sadly she can't come out until I get the barn cleaned up. Says my parents. Someone trashed it badly..

Haven't rode since Monday. I will probably ride Friday. I'm looking for a farrier so....

But she is good neck rein but only turn when she wants too. So I have to sit on her and see-saw.
